Promark Artist Series Jonathan Haas Timpani Ultra Staccato Mallets. The Jonathan Haas Artist Series timpani mallets are constructed with oak handles. The series is composed of eight different models ranging from the softest JH6 used for smooth rolls to the JH7 which have a wooden head for ultra staccato play. Promark JH1 timpani mallets feature German felt parachute-style covering for the highest quality of sound. Japanese oak provides added weight without a larger diameter, which yields enhanced projection. The JH1 provides ultra staccato articulation.
