Expanding the flexibility of an RN17 recording microphone system, the sE Electronics RN17 Omni Capsule Pair adds a true omnidirectional pickup option designed for accurate and immersive sound capture. Developed in collaboration with Rupert Neve, these capsules focus on precision and consistency for demanding recording environments.

Each capsule features a gold sputtered diaphragm engineered for fast transient response and detailed high frequency reproduction. The omnidirectional design captures sound evenly from all directions, making it suitable for room miking, ensemble recordings, and overhead applications where natural ambience matters.

The capsules are externally polarized true condensers and are individually calibrated for consistency between units. This careful tuning supports dependable stereo performance while the brass housing adds durability and protection from interference in professional use.
