It is characterised by an innovative aluminium diving coil that is part of the specially developed DMC7 capsule. This capsule is ideal for clear and true-to-life recording of vocals and speech, delivering a fresh, open sound. This makes the sound engineer's work much easier, as the voice is clearly in the foreground and prevails well against other stage noises. High feedback resistance is ensured by the acoustic design and directional characteristics. A patented, integrated storage effectively decouples the capsule from the housing, minimising grip noise and other interference. The robust metal housing of the microphone, free from sensitive plastic parts, is made from die-cast zinc-al and can withstand even extreme conditions. The microphone basket made of high-quality spring steel is resistant to deformation and corrosion, and the bevelled edges prevent the microphone from rolling away. A red internal wind shield effectively reduces wind and pop noise. Alternatively, a black windshield can be used, which is also included. The microphone's gold-plated XLR contacts ensure a reliable connection without susceptibility to corrosion.
