Description
Fibra is a new-generation ligature from Henri Selmer Paris that offers both freedom and precision. It is designed to deliver freer reed vibration, a more homogeneous sound, and renewed playing comfort. It fits any mouthpiece and reed, improving response and bringing out the player's full expressive range.
Inspired by traditional wire ligatures, Fibra reinterprets that historic concept with modern technical materials and a precise, durable tightening system. A high-resistance nautical cord and a Zamak slider provide even pressure, consistent tension, and a secure fit. Its flexible design lets you reposition it quickly without readjusting, for smooth airflow, a stable low register, and a round, centered tone.
The iconic Selmer Paris "S" is laser-engraved in black on a satin finish, protected by epoxy lacquer baked at 200 °C. Fibra was developed through a close collaboration between Henri Selmer Paris and the Vientos Bambú workshops in Buenos Aires, Argentina.
