Description
Henri Selmer Paris created the Jazz Tribute series as a tribute to the legends of jazz's golden era, for today's players who value musical tradition. The Jazz Tribute metal tenor mouthpiece is known for its balance, timbre, and roundness. It gives a dense sound while staying easy to play, and its fine gold layer adds brilliance and projection.
It is made of brass, a combination of copper and zinc, with gold plating. Selmer says this gives exceptional projection with a warm timbre, and gold-plated brass is also durable and corrosion-resistant. The design honors the great American mouthpieces of the golden age of jazz.
Each mouthpiece is made on CNC machines long used in Swiss watchmaking, which repeat every cut to a tolerance of less than 0.03 mm. A 3D optical inspection machine with a high-resolution camera checks every parameter of the mouthpiece. Each one comes with a custom-designed ligature and cap in polished lacquer.
